
PAID NIGHT INTERNSHIP
JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of the Night Intern is to supervise students from 6 pm to 6 am, ensuring they are safe and secure while they rest. Their secondary role is collaborating with Company Interns and Intern Leads to actively support camp activities and students’ experiences. The night intern will participate in life balance activities, prepare documents for the following day, and take the lead role in coordinating the work party. Emphasis: Safety and security, communication skills, attention to detail, collaboration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

“Walk” student floors every 30 mins

Check room allocations match door information
-
Respond to the texts sent by students who need to leave their dorm room
-
Report any student violations and incidents to the Program Manager in the morning
-
Escalate any “high level” violations immediately to the Program Manager and/or designated Staff member
-
Check that fire doors are not propped open
-
Check exterior doors are closed
-
Oversee any students who are working past 11 pm on their projects on Thursday night
-
Prepare camp materials as requested

Complete tasks given by the Program Manager, such as collating and organizing photos and videos and printing materials.

Attend relevant set-up activities as outlined by the Program Manager

Attend training sessions
-
Additional tasks may include but are not limited to, supporting check-in/out of students, room checks, and helping to ensure camp health and safety protocols are being followed

Estimated 90 hours at Oregon State University.

REQUIREMENTS

Prior Business Week experience is a plus
-
Ability to attend all trainings and Business Week for the entire week

Bi-lingual Spanish a plus

Experience as a Residence Advisor is a plus

Coursework in college business classes is a plus
