PROGRAM MANAGER
Reports to: Associate Director
Position: Full-time
Salary: $70,000-$80,000 plus benefits
Work Conditions: OBA offices are remote in the Portland Metro area; work happens throughout Oregon. Must be able to attend and work at week-long residential Summer Camps (Business Week) and activities.
ORGANIZATION:
Oregon Business Academy is a nonprofit organization on a mission to prepare students for college, career, and life success.
Business Week, OBA’s flagship program, is a week-long, on-campus, residential summer “camp” offering a project-based, experiential learning environment where students are challenged to create a business, collaborate, and grow. Working in teams, students discover their leadership skills and abilities. They gain a solid grounding in the basic principles of business. Students and parents alike describe Business Week participation as transformative.

In 2025, Business Week will serve 240+ students at Oregon State University in Corvallis and will grow to serve more students in future years.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to and partnering with OBA’s Associate Director and working closely with OBA’s CEO, the Program Manager will support implementation and development of OBA programs.
With an immediate focus on Business Week execution, the Program Manager will recruit volunteers and students, support camp logistics and on-site management, help refine curriculum content and delivery, and ensure that Business Week is successful for all participants.
In the long-term, the Program Manager will leverage their operational and entrepreneurial skills to build OBA. From operational systems to community outreach and engagement, the Program Manager is a partner in building sustainability into the OBA business model.
The Program Manager will be motivated by a passion to provide growth opportunities for students from all backgrounds to benefit their and Oregon’s future. Skills and interest in interfacing with students, parents, partners and volunteers will be well-used in this management role.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support/Manage all aspects of current and future OBA programming.

Solve problems, make plans, and build infrastructure to develop a successful, sustainable nonprofit.

Use entrepreneurial skills in operations and business development to solidify OBA’s place in the business-education sector.

Assist/Partner in operations management.
Business Week Camps:
-
Recruitment of volunteers, students and college interns – e.g. 240+ students in Summer 2025 and growing each year

Vetting, training and supervision of volunteers and college interns – e.g. 100 in Summer 2025 and growing substantially each year

Support planning and execution of all Business Week logistics, including attending camps and serving as a resource and leader for all volunteers, parents and attendees.
OBA Programming:

Year-Round partnership development and cultivation- high schools, nonprofit organizations, corporations, college campus partner (s)

Ongoing Program and Curriculum Development for current and future programs.

Management of data systems to support program operation and planning
-
Support organizational storytelling and marketing efforts

General and administrative tasks associated with all of the above
Required Qualifications:
-
At least three years of professional, managerial (programs or people) experience
-
Relevant relationship-management experience (e.g. schools, partners, or businesses)

Experience working with schools and/or high school students
-
Excellent presentation skills

Budgetary management experience
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite.

Availability to be on-site for Business Week and other In-person programs

A car to travel to schools and partners

Have a base in greater Portland area
